Once again this year, the PCIM Europe Digital Days offered a packed program. The focus of the trade show is on the latest developments in the power electronics industry as well as the transfer of technical know-how. Thus, in addition to keynotes by established speakers, the Best Paper and Young Engineer Awards, whose winners received prize money of EUR1,000, also form an integral part of the event.

You missed the participation at the PCIM Europe Digital Days? Don't worry - in this article we provide you with the videos of the keynotes as well as the award-winning conference presentations on demand.

PCIM Europe Best Paper Award

1st Winner: Gustavo Fortes, LAPLACE University of Toulouse, France.
Title: A resonant DC/DC converter with high efficiency and power
In the solid state transformers with medium voltage SiC-Devices, it is possible to achieve very high efficiency, although designing a sufficiently high switching frequency in order reduce filter elements, volume and mass of the transformer.

PCIM Europe Young Engineer Awards

1st winner: Christian Schwabe, Technical University of Chemnitz, Germany
Title: Power cycling lifetime investigation under low temperature swings and 50 Hz load
How to evaluate the possible liefetime in application? The answer to this question is power cycling tests. Research has already produced numerous findings in this area, but a temperature swing below 30 K has not yet been taken into consideration. However, this range is very interesting for application use.
