Tools & Software Software supports direct integration of MQTT Publisher devices
Softing Industrial Data Intelligence has released the Datafeed OPC Suite Version V4.60. The MQTT Connector component included in this version now also supports the direct integration of IoT devices with MQTT Publisher functionality. An MQTT Broker is not required.
The MQTT Endpoint functionality makes the software solution a product for integrating IoT devices with MQTT Publisher functionality into the overall application. Intelligent wizards are available to define the objectives of the data exchange. This allows the process data to be reused in industry 4.0 solutions via the integrated OPC UA server. IoT device data can also be efficiently used in big data applications or logged in a database or file.
OPC solution covers security standard
A variety of options are available to customers for connecting IoT devices to various cloud platforms. The solution fully covers the security standards of the various protocols. Data from IoT devices that do not support any security functions or support only a few security functions can also be transferred via a connection with the highest security level.
Local storage of data from IoT devices
"The success of an industry 4.0 application depends on whether production data can be provided and processed in a suitable form," says Andreas Röck, Product Manager Data Integration at Softing Industrial. "For plant manufacturers and operators, but also for IT administrators, it is important to store and analyze large amounts of data securely and cost-effectively. With the MQTT Endpoint functionality, we can offer an interesting option for the simple local storage of data from IoT devices."
The software is a complete package that covers communication via the OPC standard, as well as the implementation of big data solutions and integration into IoT clouds. A modern user interface with intelligent, practice-oriented presettings and intuitive user guidance enables fast and straightforward configuration of the data exchange. The modular structure offers the user flexibility, as he only needs to license the required functionality.
